Few weeks ago, the actress dropped her EP \u2018Sue Me\u2019 which stands as a huge achievement for her.<\/p>\n

However, despite the achievement, the mother of one spoke at length in an interview she had with Hip TV concerning challenges she has faced.<\/p>\n
Speaking about why she decided to do music, she said:<\/p>\n
\u201cFirst of all music has always been something that I have been passionate about. I actually started singing before I started acting and people that have known me for a very long time know that I\u2019ve been singing for a while.<\/em><\/p>\n
\u201cBut I think my biggest thing was just fear and the fear of failure. How do I go about it? It\u2019s funny because I had these same reservations when I wanted to go into acting industry, I was like how am I going to break in? But the truth is that at some point you just have to realize that you just have to try. I can live with trying and failing but I can\u2019t live with not trying at all.<\/em><\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I don\u2019t believe that God gives you anything to just sit on it. You might as well give it a shot because you don\u2019t know what life you\u2019re going to impact. You don\u2019t know how successful you\u2019re going to be, or not. But at least you gave it a shot. So I just decided to try it and it\u2019s something that I greatly enjoy. I enjoy the process of creating music and writing music.<\/em><\/p>\n
\u201cObviously I\u2019m a newbie and I\u2019m still learning but I\u2019m very patient with the fact that I\u2019m on a journey and I\u2019m patient with the fact that it\u2019s okay to enjoy the process even though it isn\u2019t perfect, and that\u2019s all I\u2019m doing.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
Speaking about what the acceptance of her music has been and how she feels about haters, Adesua said:<\/p>\n
\u201cObviously it\u2019s been half and half. Obviously there are people that appreciate the start of a new journey but I also understand that when people know you doing one thing, it\u2019s kinda hard for them to open their minds to the fact that you\u2019re trying to do something else.<\/em><\/p>\n
\u201cBut all these things take time and I am patient enough to win over anybody that needs convincing, and guess what? Not everybody is going to be convinced and that\u2019s okay too. Everybody is not for everybody.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
Speaking about the fact that she\u2019s not the first Nollywood star to enter music and how others didn\u2019t do well at it, Banky W\u2019s wife said:<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat is the classification of not doing well? If you get fulfillment from something, just because it isn\u2019t necessarily a commercial success doesn\u2019t mean you didn\u2019t do well. I know that my music probably won\u2019t be for everybody but I\u2019m also content with that.<\/em><\/p>\n
\u201cEverybody has their unique sound and their unique audiences and people that everybody loves, some people may not vibe to their music and that\u2019s okay. You\u2019re not meant for everybody and I know that I\u2019m not meant for everybody. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s anybody in this whole world that is meant for everybody.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
