Singer Asake has paused his Lagos show to pay tribute to the two lives that were lost as a result of the chaos in UK.
During his performance at the Flytime concert in Lagos on Thursday, Asake paused the show to pay an emotional tribute to the two lives that were lost as a result of the chaos.
“Inside of me, I feel pained for them. May their soul rest in peace. But before we go, I just want us to observe a minute’s silence for them, those who lost their lives in London. We love them, may God be with them,” the singer said.
Recall that Lambeth Police confirmed that many people were seriously injured and some have been hospitalized after a large crowd tried to get into Brixton O2 Academy without tickets to watch Asake perform.
Two women, Rebecca Ikumelo, aged 33, and Gabriella Hutchinson, a 23-year-old female security guard, died following the injuries they sustained from the stampede.
The Metropolitan Police disclosed that a third woman, 21, who was still receiving treatment, was in critical condition.
